We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Test Analyst to join a high-profile program delivering critical data migration initiatives within a large government environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on testing skilled with proven experience validating data migrations and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of migrated data.
Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, data specialists, and technical teams, you will play a key role in providing assurance that data migration processes are executed successfully with no loss, corruption, or degradation of data.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute data migration testing strategies and test plans.
Analyse source and target data structures and migration requirements.
Design, prepare, and execute migration test cases and test scenarios.
Validate the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data.
Perform data reconciliation and verification activities across multiple migration cycles.
Identify, log, track, and manage defects through to resolution using Azure DevOps.
Produce test execution reports, status updates, and testing metrics.
Work closely with business analysts, developers, data teams, and project stakeholders.
Perform manual functional testing where required.




Support multiple projects and releases within the program stream.
Minimum 3 years' recent experience in Data Migration Testing.
Demonstrated experience testing migrations involving both structured and unstructured data.
Strong understanding of end-to-end migration testing, including:
Test planning
Test analysis and design
Data validation
Test reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Experience identifying and investigating data anomalies, discrepancies, and defects.
Experience using Azure DevOps for test and defect management.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Proven capability working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.
SQL skills and experience performing data validation and reconciliation.
Experience testing ETL and data transformation processes.
Experience working on large-scale government or enterprise transformation programs.
ISTQB certification or similar testing qualification.
Security Clearance
Candidates must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance.
