About the Role: In this hands‐on leadership role as Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the dining experience, meal service delivery and meal production, ensuring meals are prepared and delivered safely. You will play a pivotal role in managing the satisfaction of our residents by leading and mentoring kitchen staff.
Key responsibilities
Leading daily kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with Food Safety Plans, hygiene regulations, OHS&E; requirements and aged care standards.
Preparing, cooking and serving nutritious meals and mid‐meals, including special diets tailored to individual resident care plans and preferences.
Catering for a range of dietary requirements including diabetic, gluten‐free, coeliac, high‐protein and low‐protein diets in consultation with dietitians and nursing staff.
Managing food ordering, deliveries, stock control, storage, kitchen budgets and minimising food wastage.
Supervising, rostering, training and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring safe operation of kitchen equipment and ongoing capability development.
Engaging with residents, families and colleagues to deliver an exceptional dining experience and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency,



portion control and customer service.
Qualifications
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (essential).
Food Handling & Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience in aged care, hospital or commercial catering (highly regarded).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise, work independently and support a team.
Valid working rights in Australia (passport, birth certificate, visa etc.).
Ability to complete a National Police Check and/or an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement.
