Job Tasks and Responsibilities
This role works closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, Superintendents, logistics, land access, safety, environment and commercial teams, the role ensures construction activities are integrated with program, cost and risk objectives.
Lead and manage all transmission line construction activities across the project footprint
Oversee delivery of access tracks, foundations, tower erection and stringing works
Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, methodologies and Builder PSDR requirements
Provide leadership to Superintendents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractor teams
Drive strong safety leadership and ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and biosecurity requirements
Coordinate construction sequencing and interfaces between civil, towers, logistics and commissioning teams
Manage resourcing, plant, equipment and subcontractor performance across all work fronts
Monitor progress against program and implement recovery strategies where required
Identify and manage construction risks including access, weather, logistics and interface constraints
Ensure quality requirements are met, including inspections, hold points and defect rectification
Support resolution of complex constructability, technical and site‐based issues
Coordinate with land access and stakeholder teams to manage site constraints and approvals




Provide inputs to procurement and commercial teams to support contract delivery and performance
Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements including Monthly Progress Reports
Support incident response, investigations and implementation of corrective actions
Engage with asset owners, regulators and key stakeholders as required
Drive continuous improvement in construction safety, productivity and delivery performance
Essential Skills / Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Significant experience in construction management of transmission lines or large linear infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of transmission line construction including access, foundations, tower erection and stringing
Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed site teams and subcontractors
Strong leadership capability with a demonstrated commitment to safety and performance culture
Experience managing complex construction sequencing, logistics and interface challenges
Robust knowledge of construction safety, environmental compliance and risk management
Experience working within structured governance, quality and assurance frameworks
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and competing priorities
Strong decision‐making, problem‐solving and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong reporting and delivery focus
Experience in transmission, utilities or energy infrastructure projects (highly desirable)
