KONE is looking for a proactive and safety-focused Site Manager to join our Modernisation team based in Sydney. Reporting directly to the Delivery Operations Manager, you will work closely alongside a dedicated Project Manager to successfully deliver elevator and escalator upgrade projects across Sydney and surrounding areas. This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, enforcing KONE's installation and safety processes, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Oversee the site delivery of elevator and escalator modernisation projects.
Work in partnership with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors on‐site while ensuring compliance with KONE's installation and safety procedures.
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with KONE policies and industry regulations.
Plan and organise labour, materials, tools, equipment, and site logistics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, builders, and other key stakeholders.
Monitor installation quality and resolve site‐related issues proactively.
Manage performance,



promote continuous improvement initiatives, and help develop best‐practice site processes.
Qualifications
3–5 years' experience in construction, building services or related industry.
Experience in the elevator / escalator industry preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of site‐based project delivery and contractor management.
Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and enforcing safety and installation standards.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to confidently engage customers, consultants, and site teams.
Excellent communication and problem‐solving skills.
Relevant trade, construction, engineering, or project management qualifications will be highly regarded.
Flexibility to occasionally work night shifts as required by project and customer needs.
