Our client is a well-established civil construction contractor with a robust and growing pipeline of work across Queensland's renewables, water infrastructure, oil and gas, and major road sectors. They're currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their civil construction team, working on a 10 days on, 4 days off roster based in Central Queensland.
About the role
This is a hands-on Project Engineer position supporting the delivery of a diverse and technically interesting range of civil infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with the project management and site delivery teams to ensure works are delivered safely, to program, and to the required quality and engineering standards, across a genuinely varied portfolio of asset types.

Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day engineering support and technical oversight across active civil construction works
Review and interpret design drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to ensure works are delivered in line with program and specification
Undertake quality assurance and quality control processes,
ensuring compliance with project and Australian Standards requirements
Support surveying, setout and as-constructed verification activities
Assist with program planning, resourcing and productivity tracking
Identify and manage on-site risks, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with WHS requirements
Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders on-site
What you'll bring
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar) is highly regarded
Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer within a civil construction environment
Experience across renewables, water infrastructure, resources/oil and gas, or road infrastructure projects highly valued
Strong understanding of civil construction methodology, quality systems and Australian Standards
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with site teams, subcontractors and clients
Willingness to work a 10/4 roster based in Central Queensland
