About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our collaborative team at an exciting stage of growth. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of clients while leading and mentoring a small team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, compliance and advisory services.
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you'll combine robust technical accounting expertise with people leadership and relationship management. You'll oversee financial reporting and statutory compliance, provide trusted commercial advice, drive process improvements and support the continued growth and development of both your clients and your team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and delivering high-quality accounting, reporting and advisory services.
Lead, coach and develop a small team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
Oversee month-end and year-end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
Lead the annual audit and statutory reporting process, acting as the key point of contact for auditors and external advisors.
Manage the preparation and lodgement of various tax returns, including payroll tax returns, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns, and Business Activity Statements (BAS).




Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance systems, controls and operational efficiency.
Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance and support strategic business decisions.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring
CA or CPA qualified with 7+ years' experience in financial accounting, business services or outsourced finance.
Demonstrated experience managing a client portfolio and building strong, long-term client relationships.
Previous experience leading a small team.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including financial reporting, statutory compliance and audit management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a commercial and client-focused approach.
Highly regarded
Big 4 or mid-tier Chartered Accounting background.
Experience with Xero or other cloud-based ERP systems.
Experience in the mining sector.
Familiarity with ASX reporting requirements and processes.
