As a Forensic Accountant within our Life Claims Technical Centre of Excellence, you'll play a key role in delivering specialist financial insight across complex and high‐risk income protection claims. You'll work at the heart of our claims function, helping ensure calculations are accurate, fair and consistent, ultimately improving outcomes for our customers.
Responsibilities
Deliver specialist forensic financial assessments across complex income protection claims, including earnings and benefit calculations.
Provide expert advice and guidance to claims teams on financial assessments and policy interpretation.
Review high‐risk claim calculations prior to payment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Conduct targeted retrospective reviews to identify payment leakage and customer impacts.
Support the ongoing development and governance of AI‐assisted calculation tools.
Coach and uplift the capability of Claims Consultants through technical guidance and training.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in forensic accounting, financial analysis or specialist financial assessment within insurance or a similar environment.
Strong experience assessing complex financial structures such as multiple entities, trusts or self‐employed income.
Experience working in a regulated environment with an understanding of claims frameworks and compliance requirements.
Proven experience contributing to reviews,



remediation activities or identifying financial discrepancies.
CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent, with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with multiple financial or calculation tools.
