Roles and Responsibilities
Hands‐on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes (particularly AKS), to ensure scalable, resilient, and portable application deployments. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite for automated configuration, patching, and deployment across diverse environments. Advanced skills in version control (Git), including branching strategies, code reviews, and team-oriented workflows. Strong scripting and automation capabilities in PowerShell, Bash, and Python to automate operational tasks and integrate systems. Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bamboo. Implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions using Splunk, Nagios, and cloud‐native platforms to proactively identify and resolve performance or reliability issues. Deep understanding of security and compliance, including cloud and network security best practices, vulnerability management, policy‐as‐code principles, and compliance frameworks such as APRA and CIS benchmarks. Solid foundation in networking principles, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, virtual networks, subnetting, DNS, security constructs such as NSGs, UDRs, ASGs, firewalls, and load‐balancing technologies including AVI, Azure Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager. Administration of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server ***** and above), Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other Linux distributions.
Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix, and virtual desktop infrastructure platforms such as Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop. Familiarity with cloud‐native and serverless architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and modern compute and storage models. Understanding of DevOps practices including Agile methodologies, GitOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. Experience in incident and problem management, structured incident response, root‐cause analysis, and proactive remediation. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across cross‐functional teams and maintain clear technical documentation.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
15+ years of experience.
Relevant industry certifications across Azure, GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, or related domains.
Strong customer‐facing, written, and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and analytical problem‐solving ability.
