Our Team & Opportunity
The APAC Marketing Technology ( MarTech ) team is responsible for :
Driving engineering excellence across Adobe, SFMC, AWS Experience technologies, and Public Websites.
Partnering with IT, Marketing, and senior stakeholders across Vanguard Global teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
Advancing Vanguard's mission by enabling Marketing through secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.
We are seeking a
Systems Integration Engineer
to build and maintain resilient, loosely coupled integrations across a distributed MarTech and Public Web ecosystem.
This role is focused on
TypeScript/Node.js development, contract first integration design
, and
automated testing
to enable protected, scalable system evolution. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our platforms can evolve independently while remaining reliable, secure, and observable.
You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and platform teams across Marketing Technology, Public Web, Data, and Core Systems to define clear, versioned contracts and deliver event driven , asynchronous integrations.

What You Will Do
Design, build, and maintain
system integrations using TypeScript (Node.js)
across APIs and
event driven architectures
.
Implement
consumer driven contract testing
using
Pact
for REST APIs and event based integrations.
Design
asynchronous, event driven integrations
(SNS, SQS, EventBridge ) that reduce coupling and improve system resilience.
Develop and maintain
automated test suites
, including unit, integration, and contract tests, embedded into CI/CD pipelines.
Partner with consuming and producing teams to define
clear, versioned, contract first interfaces
.
Collaborate with architects and tech leads to shape
integration patterns, standards, and guardrails
.
Ensure integrations meet
security, reliability, and operational standards
, including error handling, retries, and observability.
Support production systems by troubleshooting integration issues and continuously improving stability and performance.
Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams.
What We Are Looking For :
Core Technical Skills :
H ands on experience building
production systems in TypeScript / Node.js
.
Proven experience with
AWS serverless and event services
, including:
Lambda
SNS / SQS
EventBridge
Practical experience implementing
consumer driven contract testing (Pact)
.
Solid understanding of
API design
, versioning,
and backward compatible evolution.
Strong testing mindset with experience building
automated test suites
.
Specializations That'll Make an Impact
Experience integrating with or working alongside
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
or Adobe Experience Platform.
Experience of working with
Marketing Teams and Martech Stacks
- Adobe CDP, SFMC etc
Strong understanding of
decoupled, asynchronous integration patterns
and distributed systems design.
Experience working with
Angular and/or React JS
in modern web applications.
Familiarity with Github workflows, I nfrastructure - as - C ode and cloud observability tools.
