Your Role
The Principal Product Manager owns the strategy, prioritisation, and performance of a defined product domain, Member Moment, or strategic capability.
The role is accountable for translating member, partner, operational and commercial needs into clear product outcomes, ensuring investment is directed towards the opportunities that create the greatest value for members, partners and Flybuys.
Define and communicate the strategic direction for a product domain, Member Moment or strategic capability.
Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap aligned to Flybuys' strategic priorities, identifying opportunities to improve member, partner and commercial outcomes through innovation, simplification and optimisation while balancing short-term delivery and long-term value creation
Act as the accountable owner for prioritisation and trade-off decisions within the product domain.
Ensure investment and delivery resources are directed towards the highest-value opportunities by evaluating customer impact, commercial benefit, risk, effort and strategic alignment, with clear rationale for decisions to prioritise, defer or stop work.
Define clear product objectives, value hypotheses and performance measures, ensuring product investments deliver measurable improvements in engagement, satisfaction, commercial performance or operational efficiency.




Continuously monitor outcomes and optimise performance to maximise value realisation.
Ensure Product Managers and cross-functional teams have the strategic context, priorities, decision guardrails and success measures required to execute effectively.
Maintain domain-level confidence in delivery and outcomes, resolving material dependencies, capacity constraints and decisions that exceed delegated authority, while keeping teams focused on outcomes rather than activity.
Navigate competing priorities across member, commercial, operational and technical domains, facilitating trade-off decisions where value, risk, experience or capacity constraints are in conflict.
Build alignment across stakeholders and provide clear recommendations that support the best enterprise outcomes
Directly lead, coach and develop UX Designer, setting clear expectations and delegated accountabilities for their product areas.
Build their strategic thinking, product judgement, discovery and delivery capability through regular coaching, candid feedback and development planning
Your Experience
Significant experience owning product strategy, prioritisation and measurable outcomes for complex digital, platform, data-enabled or customer-facing products.
Proven track record translating customer, commercial and operational insights into product strategies, investment decisions and measurable business outcomes.
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving Product,
Engineering, Design, Data, Security, Marketing, Commercial, and other operational stakeholders.
Demonstrated success delivering measurable customer, commercial or operational outcomes through product-led thinking, experimentation and data-informed decision making.
Experience operating within complex environments requiring significant stakeholder influence, competing priorities and difficult trade-off decisions across customer, commercial and technical domains.
Proven experience developing business cases,



value hypotheses and investment recommendations that inform strategic and executive decision making.
Experience working closely with engineering teams, demonstrating an understanding of technology platforms, architectural considerations, delivery constraints and technical trade-offs that influence product outcomes
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to non-technical audiences, building understanding, alignment and support across a broad range of stakeholders.
Experience within loyalty, retail, customer engagement, marketplace, platform or partner ecosystem environments is desirable.
Deep understanding of product management principles, frameworks and outcome-based delivery models.
Robust knowledge of customer experience design, digital products, loyalty programs and member engagement ecosystems.
Understanding of product discovery, experimentation, behavioural analytics and AI-enabled product practices.
Knowledge of commercial evaluation, business case development and benefits realisation methodologies.
Understanding of privacy, risk, compliance and governance considerations applicable to digital products and customer experiences.
Knowledge of product operating models, prioritisation frameworks and agile delivery practices within complex organisations.
Understanding of how product, technology, data, commercial and operational capabilities combine to create customer and business value
