We are looking for an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to join a high-performance engineering team supporting ultra‐low latency trading systems. You will work in a deeply customized bare‐metal environment, building and maintaining tools that keep infrastructure lean, quick, and reliable—while enabling the broader tech organization to innovate securely and at scale.
Responsibilities:
Build, deploy, and manage high-performance Linux systems supporting trading activities.
Monitor system performance and optimize capacity to reduce bottlenecks.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across hardware and software boundaries.
Design and implement intelligent automation to improve system efficiency.
Develop infrastructure tools in Python and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible.
Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and software developers to ensure optimal system integration.




Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience designing and supporting large‐scale Linux/Unix server environments.
Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and tuning for performance.
Strong scripting/coding ability in Python with a focus on automation.
Experience with high‐performance, latency‐sensitive environments.
Familiarity with configuration management (Ansible preferred) and virtualization technologies.
Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and how they interact with systems infrastructure.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
A proactive, curious approach to solving problems and embracing change.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Prior experience in financial services or trading is a bonus, but not required.
