Role Overview
Munro Footwear Group (MFG) seeks an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12‐month Fixed Term Contract as part of the People Experience team. Reporting to the Head of People Experience, the role partners with leaders across the client group, provides trusted advice, coaching, and strategic people support, shapes organisational capability, leads change initiatives, manages complex employee relations, and contributes to key people programs that drive business performance and engagement. The position influences people outcomes in a dynamic national retail business, working closely with leaders to build high‐performing teams and an exceptional employee experience.
Responsibilities
Partner with leaders to deliver strategic and operational people solutions aligned to business objectives.
Coach and support leaders across performance management, talent development, employee engagement, capability building, and workforce planning.
Lead organisational design and change initiatives, including restructures, consultation processes, and implementation activities.
Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and performance management.
Provide practical advice on employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and people policies.
Support remuneration and reward processes, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational frameworks.
Analyse people data and insights to identify trends, inform decision‐making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the delivery of key People Experience projects.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, People Partner, or People Manager.
Previous experience within a retail or multi‐site environment (essential).
Solid employee relations expertise, including investigations, performance management, and complex case management.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
Exceptional stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.
The ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast‐paced environment.
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline (preferred).
