Raytheon Australia is seeking a bright and energised Systems Engineer. The role is for a Systems Engineer within the Projects Integrated Project Team, reporting directly to the Senior Principal Systems Engineer. You will join an exciting project focused on Submarine Combat System development and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to introduce new technology to Australia's submarine fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement product solutions for integration into the Combat System.
Lead and conduct product verification and validation activities, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
Generate and maintain product design certification documentation in accordance with system product specifications.
Provide engineering support to transition products into service.
Conduct technical risk analysis and lead junior engineers to facilitate documenting and executing verification and validation activities.
Run major reviews throughout the project lifecycle, including peer reviews, preliminary and detailed design reviews, and test readiness reviews.
Mentor junior team members to build team skills in systems engineering methodology, as well as the required tools and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering as a minimum.
Minimum 2 years' experience in Systems Engineering involving one or more of the following: requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, integration and verification in one or more of the following engineering fields: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Communication, Software and/or Combat/RF Systems.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.
Knowledge of project management milestones coupled with the ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision to deliver completed work according to scheduled commitments.
Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.
Desirable
Experience working within Defence or a highly regulated industry.
Experience with Microsoft and Atlassian tool suites (Teams, JIRA, Confluence, etc).
Experience with scientific or engineering documentation and test engineering processes and procedures.
Experience with Linux operating systems, networking and technical problem solving.
