About the role
Tenzing Australia Limited is seeking a full‐time, permanent Senior Guidewire ICT Business Analyst (based in Sydney) to support Guidewire implementation, enhancement and cloud migration projects for insurance clients.
You'll bring strong, hands‐on Guidewire experience and a consulting mindset, working closely with clients and delivery teams to shape, translate, and deliver insurance solutions that meet real business outcomes. At Senior level, prior experience across insurance processes (policy, claims, or billing) is expected; at Intermediate level, this experience is highly desirable.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Working as a Business Analyst across both high‐level and detailed analysis, translating business outcomes and processes into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
Leading the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements for Guidewire implementations and enhancements (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
Acting as the key bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, translating business needs into functional specifications that support effective delivery.
Facilitating workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders to shape requirements, processes, and solution options.
Collaborating closely with product owners, architects,



developers, and testers to ensure requirements are understood, feasible, and fit for purpose.
Supporting Agile delivery through backlog refinement, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, and contributing to sprint ceremonies.
Providing subject matter input across insurance processes (policy, claims, billing) and how these are enabled through Guidewire solutions.
Supporting solution design by validating requirements against Guidewire capabilities, configuration options, and best practices.
Identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies early, and working proactively with stakeholders to manage change
At Senior level, mentoring and supporting junior business analysts and contributing to standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll bring
Hands‐on experience as a Business Analyst working on Guidewire implementations or enhancements.
Familiarity with Guidewire InsuranceSuite and Guidewire Cloud concepts.
Experience translating business processes into functional and user‐story‐based requirements.
Strong understanding of insurance domains (policy, claims, and/or billing), particularly at Senior level.
Relevant Guidewire certifications across one or more areas (desirable) as well as at least 5 years' experience as a Guidewire Business Analyst role.
