About the Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets, acting as Halter's on-the-ground representative.
This role requires a proactive, hands‐on approach with a focus on both expansion and long‐term customer satisfaction. You will prioritise daily efforts that optimise growth performance and drive value for your customers, and share field insights to ensure Halter's technology continues to meet the needs of farmers.
Location – The role is based anywhere in the Riverina, ideally in Deniliquin, with frequent travel required.
Who We're Looking For
Sales & Customer Success Expertise – Value‐based sales experience, strong history of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships. Post‐sales value building and upselling experience are essential.
Beef Industry Experience – Knowledge of beef operations and industry challenges. If you don't have direct experience, deep passion and willingness to learn rapidly are required.
Attitude – A proactive mindset, resilience under pressure, ownership of results, and authentic energy in every interaction.
Territory Management – Ability to reason through trade‐offs for a large territory, balancing sales and customer success.
Problem Solving & Collaboration – Resourceful, quick‐thinking, and effective teamwork across cross‐functional groups.
Willingness to Travel – Frequent travel within your territory to engage customers and prospects.
What Your Day Could Look Like
Prospecting & Expansion – Sourcing new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and inbound queries. Manage the full sales pipeline.
Hitting Sales Targets – Screen, qualify, demo the product, and negotiate contracts to meet growth targets.
Customer Account Management – Maintain close relationships post‐sale, provide ongoing support, resolve challenges, and facilitate a smooth handoff to onboarding.
Territory Ownership – Build deep relationships across the beef industry with local groups.
Customer Onboarding – Own the end‐to‐end experience during onboarding and deployment of Halter's product.
Field Learnings & Feedback – Gather feedback, collaborate with Support, Product and R&D; to drive improvements.
Collaborating with Support Teams – Resolve customer issues quickly and ensure full support.
