SP Data Centres is seeking an experienced
WHS Consultant
to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in the Eastern Creek precinct. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading construction contractors on a quick-paced, high-profile project.
Operating as an independent consultant via your own ABN, you will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, supporting project teams, and ensuring work is carried out safely and in accordance with legislative and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day WHS support across the construction project.
Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
Identify hazards and implement practical risk control measures.
Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Review SWMS, risk assessments and permit systems.
Monitor contractor compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements.
Support toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety communications.
Coach and mentor supervisors and subcontractors on WHS best practice.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
Foster a proactive, collaborative safety culture across the project.
About You




You'll be a proactive WHS professional who is comfortable working in a complex construction environment and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in commercial construction, infrastructure or data centre projects.
Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and construction compliance.
Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with project teams.
Own ABN and appropriate insurances.
Highly Regarded
Experience on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training.
