Spell is looking for a talented
Print & Textile Designer
to join our Creative team on a
6-month fixed-term contract
, covering parental leave. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bringing our seasonal collections to life, creating original artwork that reflects the Spell aesthetic while contributing to our commitment to sustainability and thoughtful design.
What you will be doing:
Working closely with our Design Manager and cross-functional teams, you'll lead the print and textile design process from initial concept through to final production. You'll create original artworks across prints, embroideries, laces, jacquards, handlooms, hardware and knitwear, while ensuring every design is delivered on time, to the highest quality, and ready for production.
You'll also:
Research trends, vintage inspiration and colour direction to create unique seasonal artwork.
Collaborate with Product and Technical teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
Review strike-offs, lab dips and artwork submissions with a keen eye for detail.
Manage external textile artists and supplier artwork approvals.
Maintain our textile archive and contribute to Spell's sustainability initiatives.
About you:
A degree in Fashion or Textile Design (print-focused preferred).
Experience in Print and/or Textile Design.
Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
A strong understanding of textile processes, garment printing and fabrications.
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving.
An understanding of the Spell aesthetic.
Hand illustration skills.
Experience with sustainable fabrics and print techniques.
