Our client is a well-established civil construction contractor with a strong and growing pipeline of work across Queensland's renewables, water infrastructure, oil and gas, and major road sectors.
They're currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their civil construction team, working on a 10 days on, 4 days off roster based in Central Queensland.About the roleThis is a hands-on Project Engineer position supporting the delivery of a diverse and technically engaging range of civil infrastructure projects.
You'll work closely with the project management and site delivery teams to ensure works are delivered safely, to program, and to the required quality and engineering standards, across a genuinely varied portfolio of asset types.What you'll be working onRenewable energy infrastructure projectsWater infrastructure assetsOil and gas facility civil worksMajor road upgrades, including intersection worksKey responsibilitiesProvide day-to-day engineering support and technical oversight across active civil construction worksReview and interpret design drawings, specifications and technical documentationManage and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to ensure works are delivered in line with program and specificationUndertake quality assurance and quality control processes,
ensuring compliance with project and Australian Standards requirementsSupport surveying, setout and as-constructed verification activitiesAssist with program planning, resourcing and productivity trackingIdentify and manage on-site risks, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with WHS requirementsLiaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders on-siteWhat you'll bringTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar) is highly regardedDemonstrated experience as a Project Engineer within a civil construction environmentExperience across renewables, water infrastructure, resources/oil and gas, or road infrastructure projects highly valuedStrong understanding of civil construction methodology, quality systems and Australian StandardsConfident communicator, comfortable liaising with site teams, subcontractors and clientsWillingness to work a 10/4 roster based in Central QueenslandWhat's on offerAttractive base salary + superannuationLiving Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA)Fully maintained company uteThe opportunity to work across a genuinely diverse range of civil infrastructure sectors, building broad and valuable experienceJoin a well-regarded contractor with a strong pipeline of upcoming work across Queensland
