Key Responsibilities
Resolving complex issues related to product integration and production anomalies.
Ensuring a clear understanding and/or facilitating the development engineering and technical requirements
Guiding the testing and validating of software solutions to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements.
Coaching others with writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.
Coaching others with requirements verification
Communicating the status of complex engineering situations and deliverables
Developing and documenting solutions through drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data.
Developing and updating engineering change management artifacts.
Identifying, mitigating and manage technical risks
Occasional travel to Brisbane to access integration labs and/or for team planning sessions may be required.
Candidate Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of experience in complex technical development and integration projects.
A minimum of 8 years professional experience in software development
Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with various stakeholders
Extensive experience in version control systems (eg., Bitbucket, Jenkins) and engineering change management
Strong Attention to detail when following, creating and reviewing documentation and code
Experience in the full engineering lifecycle




Strong coaching and mentoring skills in line with the abovementioned
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
This role supports an environment that has security considerations and is both Windows and Linux based, so virtualisation and networking knowledge would be advantageous.
Experience with Ratheon Solipsys Multi-Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT) will also be highly regarded.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements and holding an existing NV1 is mandatory.
