The Northern Heart Centre is a specialist cardiac care provider for Tasmania's north and north west. The Department of Health seeks a Cardiologist to lead this service in a permanent role.
Role
Reporting to the Clinical Director, you will provide high-quality specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings at Launceston General Hospital.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive cardiology assessment, diagnosis and management for admitted and referred patients
Perform and interpret a broad range of cardiac investigations and interventional procedures within your scope of practice
Contribute to after-hours on-call rosters and acute cardiac response
Provide clinical supervision and education to junior medical staff, registrars and students
Position Details
Permanent full time day worker (with an on-call component) working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are available

Salary and Benefits
Annual salary: $222,789 - $319,701 (pro rata) in line with the Medical Practitioners Agreement ****

Eligibility
Holder of specialist registration; or
Registered medical practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate on the specialist pathway; or
Registered medical practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality
