Alfred Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join the General Medicine Team as a Senior Pharmacist. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most progressive hospital pharmacy services in the country and continue to build and develop the general medicine pharmacy team in a supportive environment.

About The Team
The General Medicine Unit at AlfredCare Groupis a dynamic and well supported unit with an education and research focus. The General medicine unit operates primarily across the Alfred Hospital, Caulfield Hospital and Sandringham hospital. The unit is dedicated to the care of complex, multi-morbid and often elderly patients, providing care in both an inpatient and ambulatory care setting. There is a solid interdisciplinary approach to care within the unit.
About The Role
As Senior Pharmacist–General medicine, you will be responsible fortheday-to-daydelivery of clinical pharmacy services tothe general medicine unitacross the Alfred Care Group. The position will alsobe responsible forsupervision and development of clinical pharmacists working within these services.



You will work in collaboration with the Lead and Senior Pharmacists to provide progressive advanced level patient-centred care to all general medicine patients.
This post has a key role in the managing and mentoring of junior pharmacists rotating through the service. This would also include undergraduate student placements, intern rotations, postgraduate student placements and a contribution to medical, nursing, allied health and pharmacy education.
Research is an essential part of pharmacy services at Alfred Health. The post holder would also be expected to contribute to the research and educational activities of the General Medicine teams as well as pursue their own research.

Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications & Experience Required
Registered pharmacist in Australia
Relevant post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent highly desirable
Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, with a demonstrated understanding of contemporary practice in hospital
pharmacy servicesExperience in leading and coaching a highly effective team
