Safety Health and Environment Coordinator
to join our team in Somersby and play a key role in supporting a safe, healthy and engaged workplace across our manufacturing operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the SHE Advisor, you'll support the delivery of workplace health, safety and environmental initiatives across our Somersby manufacturing facility.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with employees, supervisors and leaders to identify risks, promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting workplace inspections and hazard assessments
Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
Assisting with safety inductions and toolbox talks
Monitoring compliance with PPE requirements and safe work procedures
Maintaining safety records, registers and training documentation
Supporting risk assessments and safe work instructions
Assisting with contractor and visitor safety compliance
Supporting the Safety Committee and employee consultation processes
Promoting positive safety behaviours and wellbeing initiatives
Working alongside operational leaders to improve safety performance
About You
You are passionate about creating safer workplaces and building positive relationships with employees at all levels.
You'll bring:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
Experience in a safety, WHS or HSE role
Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation
Robust communication and influencing skills
Experience working within manufacturing, industrial or construction environments
A proactive and practical approach to problem solving
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Confidence engaging with frontline employees and leaders
Highly regarded:
First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid
Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
Experience working with mobile plant, cranes or manual handling risks
Training and Assessment qualification
