Dandenong South | Full-Time | FMCG – Food Manufacturing & Warehousing
The Role
We're looking for an HSE Coordinator to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our health, safety and environment management systems in a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing and warehousing workplace.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you'll help embed safe systems of work, drive hazard identification and risk control, support incident investigations, maintain day to day environmental compliance, and build a proactive safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain safe work procedures, registers and documentation in the online safety system, and coordinate compliance including plant registrations, licence verification, and testing/inspection schedules
Conduct risk assessments, JSA/SWMS reviews and inspections, and maintain the hazard/risk register and corrective actions
Support the reporting and recording of incidents, near misses and hazards, and follow through on corrective action close-out
Manage and coordinate Return-to-Work requirements for Victoria
Create and deliver inductions, toolbox talks and priority-risk training, and maintain training and licence records




Administer contractor management processes and review contractor documentation to ensure compliance
Support ongoing compliance with environmental obligations

About You
Your previous experience and qualifications will include:
Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent), plus Return-to-Work Coordinator training
Demonstrated experience in a safety, production or warehouse role within manufacturing, FMCG or a comparable industrial environment — food manufacturing experience highly regarded
Solid working knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS legislation, with hands‐on experience in risk assessments, inspections and incident investigations
Awareness of environmental compliance obligations (chemical storage, waste management, spill response)
Comfortable working autonomously, prioritising competing tasks, and contributing effectively within a team
Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills, with the credibility to engage operators through to managers and contractors
Well‐organised, competent with Microsoft Office and safety management software, and reliable in following actions through to completion
