Want to work on some of the largest Caterpillar engines in Australia?
Join WesTrac's Engine Components team at our South Guildford Component Rebuild Centre and become a specialist in rebuilding and restoring the critical components that keep Caterpillar engines performing at their best.
Working on large-scale engine components, you'll play an key role in supporting the mining, construction, and infrastructure industries that power Australia.
Whether you're an experienced heavy diesel mechanic or looking to take the next step in your mechanical career, you'll be surrounded by a team that values knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous development.
Roster
5 Days On, 2 Days Off
2 weeks day shift
2 weeks night shift
10-hour shifts
What You'll Be Doing
Disassemble, inspect, assess, and assemble CAT engine components to OEM specifications
Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements
Work with advanced Caterpillar systems, tooling, and technology
Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation
Collaborate with a highly skilled team in a safety-focused workshop environment
Deliver quality workmanship aligned to WesTrac's SPARC Values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect, and Customer
Skills & Experience
Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality workmanship
Experience completing mechanical rebuilds, overhauls, component change-outs, or major repairs




Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Commitment to safe work practices
