About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced FIM (Free Issue Material) & Warehouse Manager to support the successful delivery of a large-scale telecommunications infrastructure program.
70% planning and supply chain sourcing, 30% warehouse and logistics
This position is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of free issue materials, from forecasting and procurement through to warehousing, inventory control, logistics and site delivery.
Working closely with construction managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, procurement specialists and suppliers, you will ensure critical materials are available when required, reducing project delays and supporting efficient site construction.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong planning, supply chain and stakeholder management skills while maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple concurrent projects.
Position: FIM & Warehouse Manager – Competitive Daily Rate – TBC depending on experience
Location: Sydney CBD
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months with strong potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
Develop material forecasts aligned with construction and project delivery schedules.
Coordinate procurement activities to ensure long lead-time equipment is ordered well in advance.




Manage Free Issue Material (FIM) requirements across multiple infrastructure projects.
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control and stock reconciliation.
Coordinate material allocation and dispatch to construction sites throughout NSW.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Build strong working relationships with equipment manufacturers and logistics providers.
Maintain accurate inventory, warehouse and asset management records.
Ensure all materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate pre-staging activities to support construction readiness.
Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment activities.
Support commercial and procurement teams with purchase order coordination.
Work closely with Quantity Surveyors to ensure material forecasts align with approved project budgets.
Liaise with construction managers and project managers to prioritise urgent material requests.
Coordinate logistics providers to ensure safe, compliant and timely deliveries.
Assist with warehouse audits, stocktakes and continuous process improvements.
Support warranty management and equipment traceability requirements.
Contribute to the development of inventory management procedures and reporting.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procurement requirements and WHS obligations.
About You
You are a proactive supply chain or warehouse skilled who enjoys coordinating complex logistics across major infrastructure projects.
You thrive in fast-paced project environments where planning, organisation and stakeholder communication are essential to project success.
To Be Successful You Will Demonstrate




Demonstrated experience managing warehouse, logistics or material operations within telecommunications, infrastructure, utilities, construction or engineering environments.
Strong experience managing inventory, warehouse operations and material allocation.
Experience forecasting material requirements for major projects.
Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
Experience coordinating logistics across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Strong understanding of supply chain planning and inventory optimisation.
Ability to identify risks associated with material shortages and delivery delays.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across engineering, commercial and project delivery teams.
Experience maintaining accurate inventory and asset records.
Exposure to ERP or warehouse management systems such as SAP will be highly regarded.
Experience working with telecommunications equipment or infrastructure materials will be advantageous.
Knowledge of vendor management and contract suppliers is desirable.
Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Robust Microsoft Excel and reporting capability.
Full Australian working rights are required.
