FP&A; Analyst | NSW Government | 12-Month Contract$120,000 - $150,000 + SuperI'm currently working with a NSW Government department to recruit two FP&A; Analysts for 12-month fixed-term contracts, with a strong possibility of transitioning into permanent positions.These roles are ideal for finance professionals who enjoy the technical side of FP&A.;
The focus will be on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting, supporting the organisation through planning and performance cycles.
There is less emphasis on business partnering, making this a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial data and providing meaningful insights.The environment is large and complex, with several manual processes still in place.
They're looking for hands-on individuals who are comfortable rolling up their sleeves,
identifying opportunities for improvement and helping drive efficiencies over time.Key responsibilities:Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activitiesPrepare month-end reporting and variance analysisAnalyse financial performance and provide insights to support decision-makingDevelop financial models and reporting packsSupport planning cycles and ad hoc financial analysisIdentify and implement process improvements where possibleAbout you:Previous experience in FP&A;, Management Accounting or Financial AnalysisStrong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experienceComfortable working within large, complex organisationsAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilityExperience within Government, Higher Education, Healthcare or other large organisations will be highly regardedWhat's on offer:12-month contract with a genuine pathway to permanencySalary of $120,000 - $150,000 + superOpportunity to join a large NSW Government departmentMeaningful work with long-term career potential
