In this role you will provide shop detailing delivery management and coordination through design engineering, procurement, fabricationand construction activities.
We are looking for a focused and self-motivatedperson who understands how to deliver shop detailing tofabrication.
You will have a robust understanding of fabrication processes, welding procedures, and paint specifications and experience with structures, conveyors, and platework.Key Responsibilities:Ensure Safety in Design principles are incorporated in all areas of Sedgman's design and within the Contractor's shop detail designFacilitate,attendand engage in meetings asrequiredfor project deliveryParticipate in the review, checking of design and shop detail drawings.
Ensure drawings adhere to AS**** or relevant standards,



Sedgman standards and relevant codes of practiseAdvise andseekto resolve any potential fabrication issues that may arise with the current designBe proactive in exploring new procedures within Sedgman or our Contractors to achieve time and cost saving and delivering value to our clientsWork in conjunction with all Sedgman entities in the development of project budgets and schedules for Contractor's worksActively engaged with Contractors and chair weekly progress meetings.Report and communicate with all stakeholdersregardingshop detail progress, potential risks to project deadlines or budgetsComply withthe Sedgman change management process for contractor's shop detail drawingsQualifications:Associate Diploma in Engineering /Associate Degree in Engineeringor equivalent is highly regarded but not a requirementEssential skills,knowledgeand experience:Minimum 5 years of hands-on fabrication experience or minimum 4 years' experience in shop detailing/managementFabrication and Welding procedures and Paint requirementsAbility to read, interpret, and review engineering drawingsSkills in MS Office suite, MS Project, NavisworksContract Management experienceExperience writing Contractor scopes of work and development of budgetsWhat we can offer you:Flexible arrangements to help you achieve work-life balanceA focus on your professional development and opportunities to grow your career within SedgmanA collaborative focus on continuous improvement and innovation in our safety cultureA friendly and social work environmentPlease note you will be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and be able to work lawfully in Australia.Sedgman is an equal opportunity employer - We support diversity in the workplace and a culture where employees can reach their full potential by feeling respected, included and heard.
