We Deliver – Together.Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS).
The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS.
The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre's (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades.
The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services.
The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.The OpportunityIn this pivotal role, you will help drive maintenance assurance, operational performance,
and through-life support outcomes across a complex maritime sustainment program.Working closely with key stakeholders, you will provide independent assurance and strategic insights that support capability readiness, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on capability assurance, maintenance excellence, and long-term operational readiness within a highly collaborative and mission-focused environment.This is a permanent full time opportunity and is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.ResponsibilitiesProvide assurance activities of the Annual, One plus One and Five-Year Work Programs for initial delivery to the Maintenance Assurance ManagerAnalysis of continuous schedule risk as an assurance activity to the planning, scheduling in accordance with the Stage Gate exit points IPT's, EMP IPT's and PEB'sIdentifying and investigating opportunities to reduce through life support costsDriving initiatives to minimise unnecessary duplication of maintenance activities or conduct of unnecessary maintenance activitiesEnsuring consideration is given to the source of vendor equipment (including spares and support) with respect to RAN commonality, LCC, Australianisation to improve supportability and AICReview and assurance of TPCCs and associated progress reporting metricsContribute to programmatic assurance reports over the Stage Gate 1 to 6 end to end processesContribute to the analysis of continuous schedule risk as an assurance activity to the planning scheduling in accordance with the Stage Gate exit points IPT's, EMP IPT's and PEB'sIdentifying risks and issues associated with ILS and supportability aspects of the projectPerform the duties of the ILS Analysts as requiredIdentifying,
reporting and monitoring risks associated with procurement and sparingMonitoring overarching procurement activities for the Project and raising issues of concernEssentialAs a minimum, recognised Vocational Education and Training qualification in Engineering.Project and contract management experience.Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Maintenance Assurance in a Defence role.Working knowledge in Naval systems, such as Configuration Management Tool-Unified (CMT-U) and Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS).
