As an Underwriter at QBE, you will be part of a successful and dynamic team spread across Australia, with the opportunity to grow and develop your insurance and underwriting career.You will be responsible for running a profitable Workers Compensation portfolio, providing insights and expertise to your customers including underwriting and maintaining a renewal portfolio and new business as well as responding to quotes.You'll work closely with brokers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders to provide high-quality underwriting service, technical support, and market-led solutions.About QBEAt QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers.

retention, and profitability targetsMonitor and comply with underwriting standards, processes, and legislative requirementsDeliver timely, well-reasoned underwriting decisions and solutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with brokers and business partnersProvide technical support and collaborate with Assistant UnderwritersContribute to underwriting service delivery, process improvement, and innovationFoster a positive, collaborative team environmentAbout YouExperience in underwriting, ideally within Workers Compensation or casualty linesBackground in insurance sales and/or the broader insurance industryStrong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and portfolio managementAbility to build trusted relationships with brokers and stakeholdersSound decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skillsBenefitsWe offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances.
