The Vascular Sonographer will perform high-quality diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies, carotid and peripheral vascular assessments, and other specialized vascular imaging as requested.
Daily tasks include preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing and interpreting images, and documenting findings in accordance with clinical protocols.
The role involves working closely with vascular specialists and other team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment, maintaining equipment and imaging records, and adhering to safety and infection-control standards.
The sonographer will contribute to a professional, respectful,



and patient-focused environment, ensuring clear communication and excellent service throughout each visit.QualificationsFormal qualification in medical ultrasound or diagnostic medical sonography, with recognized training in vascular ultrasound.Current professional registration or accreditation with an appropriate sonography or medical imaging body in Australia (e.g., ASAR or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience performing a range of vascular studies, including arterial, venous, and carotid ultrasound examinations.Robust technical proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and optimizing image quality while following clinical protocols.High level of attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, clinicians, and administrative staff in a respectful, inclusive manner.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing time and caseload efficiently in a clinical setting.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in vascular imaging.Experience in private practice or hospital-based vascular services is an advantage.
