This role works across RD&A;, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure packaging solutions are fit‐for‐purpose, cost‐effective, compliant, and scalable.
The role is responsible for leading packaging inputs across product development, optimisation,



and customer projects—balancing strong technical outcomes with speed, practicality, and commercial impact.Key responsibilitiesLead packaging workstreams across new product development and reformulation projectsIdentify and recommend packaging solutions aligned to product, shelf life, and customer requirementsPartner with Commercial and Account teams to support customer briefs and presentationsTranslate customer requirements into clear, practical packaging specificationsSupport factory trials, validation, and implementation of packaging solutionsEnsure packaging designs are suitable for manufacturing, supply chain, and scale‐upMaintain compliance with regulatory, food safety, and customer‐specific requirementsDevelop and maintain accurate packaging specifications and documentationSupport cost optimisation initiatives through material selection and design improvementsContribute to sustainability goals, including reduction of packaging waste and improved recyclabilityQualifications And SkillsDegree or relevant experience in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 7 years' experience in packaging, food manufacturing, or a technical environmentExposure to FMCG, ingredients, or foodservice sectors preferredKey CompetenciesPractical, solutions‐oriented mindsetStrong communication skills with ability to simplify technical conceptsAbility to work cross‐functionally and influence stakeholdersComfortable working in a fast‐paced, customer‐led environment
