This role acts as the local product expert—bridging central portfolio strategy with country-level execution across channels, projects, and key segments including Panel Builders, OEMs, Buildings, Industrial & Manufacturing, Energy & Power, and Infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the country low voltage product range strategy across channels such as Distribution & Wholesalers, Switchboard Builders, OEM, and segments such as Buildings, Industrial & Manufacturing, Energy & Power, and Infrastructure.Manage the full product lifecycle: launch,
growth, maturity, restricted/customized offers, and phase-out—including substitution mapping, price adjustments, communication scheduling, and stock sell-through strategy.Develop deep knowledge on LV offers, build competitive product features, advantages, benefits comparison decks covering the country's top competitors by product line.Maintain a current country price list with transparent structure, discount, and rebate schemes; develop a structured competitor price tracker and price positioning matrix by product family and segment.Propose price list adjustments with clear rationale and estimated margin impact; provide quarterly price & margin review summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.Control SKU complexity and prevent unstructured product expansion.2.
Technical EnablementDesign and deliver structured technical trainings—including configuration, mentoring, and onboarding for new product introductions, sales colleagues, distributors, panel builders, and OEM partners.Develop and localize technical content: datasheets, manuals, catalogues, positioning guides, competitor conversion battlecards, quick reference guides (selection charts, wiring diagrams), and standard training slide decks.Create product application guides specific to ANZ and advise on low voltage solution architecture (typical circuits, panels, system diagrams).
Conduct product field test surveys, support product issues, and collect product feedback from local distributors, internal and external stakeholders.Own the documentation roadmap and modular training curriculum for the low voltage portfolio; measure training effectiveness and identify product gaps for HQ feedback.Develop market overview analysis in terms of market size, trends, key players, solutions and opportunity/risk matrices for top 1–3 LV industries or segments, working together with sales team and distributor partner members.Maintain structured competitor cross-references and mapping for each main low voltage product line (players, strengths, weaknesses).
Design standard conversion bundles and proposals for key competitor brands; build and maintain a project reference library with documented wins.Participate in monthly/quarterly sales conversion pipeline meetings; collaborate with project teams to realize conversions and target key accounts with sales.Co-create application solutions with targeted key accounts to maximize conversion impact.Capture Voice of Customer insights from visits, interviews, and events—identifying customer needs, technical preferences, price bands, and competitive landscapes.Monitor local regulatory and technology regulations affecting low voltage products; provide internal response actions to shifts and support customer migration and compliance.4.
Stakeholder Leadership & CollaborationBuild joint business and action plans with country leadership, sales, and marcom teams for key low voltage segments and products.Work across divisions—R&D;, factory, product marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance— both locally and with regional HQ to ensure day-to-day product marketing needs are met.Plan, support, and maintain certification and national standards approvals; act as critical national standards advisor to HQ to ensure full understanding of mandatory local market approvals and compliance for low voltage equipment.Facilitate timely and accurate advice to HQ on market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive product feedback.Lead cross-functional project charters for launches, major projects, or certifications; represent the company in technical discussions with external bodies, associations, or regulatory agencies.RequirementsLocation: The successful candidate should ideally be based in Sydney or Melbourne, although we welcome suitable applicants based in other major cities in Australia.
The successful candidate must also have full unrestricted working rights in Australia.Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, marketing-related degrees are a plus.Experience: 5+ years' experience in product marketing, technical marketing or product management within the low voltage electrical industry (e.g., circuit protection, control & switching, distribution boards, motor control), with 3+ years of hands‐on industrial channel experience covering distributors, panel builders, OEMs, system integrators and EPCs.
Cross-functional experience spanning R&D;, manufacturing, sales and/or supply chain is a strong competitive advantage.Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of low voltage product families, applications, and relevant standards (e.g., IEC/EN, local national standards); ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and system architectures.Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated capability in pricing strategy, margin analysis, discount frameworks, and competitive positioning.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability in Chinese is a strong bonus; ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value propositions.Collaboration: Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without authority across HQ, regional, and local teams.
