We are seeking a caring and energetic female support worker to join our team in Doonside NSW ****.
This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.
About The Role
Provide support to a 12-year-old female participant.
Build positive relationships while supporting daily routines, independence, and personal development.
Assisting in improving physical development and mobility.
Following individual support plans and care routines.
Key Responsibilities
Assist and prompt the participant with her morning routine and getting ready for school.
Encourage independence in self-care activities.
Build a positive, trusting relationship through consistent support.
Provide emotional encouragement and promote confidence.
Follow safety procedures and support mobility needs while maintaining participant dignity.
About You
Female (participant preference).
Confident supporting people with complex physical disabilities.
Young, energetic, and able to connect well with pre-teens.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
Patient, reliable, and relationship-focused.
Able to provide encouragement and gentle prompting.
Experience supporting children or young people is desirable but not essential.
Shifts Available (Ongoing)
Tuesday 8-10 am
Thursday 8-10 am
Friday 8-10 am
Additional shifts may be available in the future, subject to needs and roster availability.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Disability Support Worker.
Experience with manual handling, hoists and other high-care skills.
Ability to provide personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
Physically capable of supporting regular outings and activities.
Compliance Requirements
NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
Working with Children Check (WWCC) (mandatory).
Preferably driving with a full Australian driver's licence, own car with comprehensive car insurance.
