In this role, you will assist with preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents.
You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently and in line with residents' dietary requirements.As a Cook,
You WillPrepare and cook nutritious meals in line with planned menus and dietary requirementsEnsure meals are presented to a high standard and served on timeMaintain food safety and infection control standardsAssist with special dietary and texture-modified meal preparationSupport stock control and minimise food wasteMaintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environmentWork collaboratively with the care team to support resident wellbeingProvide flexible coverage across a casual roster, including weekends and leave reliefTo Be Successful In This Role, You Will HavePrevious cooking experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitalityKnowledge of food safety standards and protected food handling practicesA Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)Strong time management and organisational skillsA positive, team-focused attitudeA genuine passion for supporting older AustraliansFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekendsA valid Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)Perks & BenefitsSalary packaging benefits available as a not-for-profit organisationOngoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive leadership team and friendly workplace cultureOpportunity to build a rewarding career with one of Regional Australia's leading aged care providersPlease note that recruitment processes will commence immediately and applications may close early.
