The role involves ensuring program policy compliance during after-hours, supporting case workers, assessing client needs, and managing immediate/crisis situations outside of business hours.Why this role mattersThe Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services.

We work to a modern, evidence-based and holistic Model of Care which can be viewed here: About The RoleThe Bridge Alcohol and Other Drug recovery Program operates within the Tasmanian Division of The Salvation Army Southern Territory (TSA).
As the After-Hours Support Worker,



you will provide after hours support for residents of the Bridge Program and support a team of case workers by ensuring residents comply with policy and procedures of the program after hours.This is a casual role based in Ulverstone, Tasmania.
Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 3.
Successful candidate will be available to work a range of shifts, including weekday sleepover shifts from 4:00 pm to 8:00 am, as well as weekend day shifts from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and weekend night shifts 4:00pm to 8:30am.The role you could playMaintain the centre to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness, this includes client rooms and common areasProvide clients accessing the service with a welcoming and responsive initial contact and ensure urgent and immediate needs are addressedTake appropriate preventative action in relation to potential high-risk situationsProvide assistance to assess client issues, needs and circumstances and develop strategies to address needsEstablish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and support them to improve their situationProvide support to clients to implement case plans in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practiceAssist clients to access support services and establish community supportsWhat You Will BringCertificate IV level qualification in relevant field e.g.
