We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time vacancies which may arise during the **** school year and up to the end of Term 1, ****.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Ngaanyatjarra Lands School (NLS) are looking for committed and culturally responsive Teachers to fill a range of immediate vacancies in Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary.
NLS comprises seven campuses operating under the leadership of an Executive Principal, spread across the Western Desert of Western Australia and provides for students from kindergarten to Year 12.
Although the campuses are separated by large distances, they are bound together by the culture of the Ngaanyatjarra People.

The Role We are actively seeking Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary Teachers who will support our school's vision to provide education centred on the perspectives and aspirations of our Aboriginal students and their families.
Suitable applicants will possess a sound understanding of cross-cultural education and the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
Suitable applicants will have a personable and resilient nature that allows them to work in a flexible and supportive manner across the campus teams.




Cultural awareness and an introduction to prescribed school approaches will be presented through on-site induction and ongoing support from designated peers and NLS administrators will be provided.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a capacity to work independently, use initiative to address challenges with professionalism and be able to form sound professional relationships in a team-oriented context.

Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year.
Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.




The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

We encourage internal secondment opportunities for permanent teachers in other locations within the Department of Education who would like to work at our school for up to three years and retain their substantive position.
