You will work directly to the Procurement Manager reviewing and improving procurement processes and managing access to procurement systems.
This is a maternity backfill role with a handover period at the start and finish of the period if candidates are available.The team is undertaking large scale reform and transitioning to new systems.
Your role will work across Council to enable improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and systems.Melton is one of the fastest growing Councils in Australia.
With that comes lots of prospect to make an impact and drive change.Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a pivotal role for the team, helping to improve procurement processes and systems, control access to systems and address issues, predominantly in TechOne One Council and Readytech Contracts.
Whilst experience in these systems is an advantage it is not mandatory to apply.ResponsibilitiesThe role is responsible for reviewing procurement processes, developing improvements and deploying them.




This includes document development and some training.
The position also manages procurement systems access and processes, where Procurement are allocated these roles:Provide timely and responsive procurement information, guidance and support to internal and external customers that encourages good procurement practices and ensures compliance.Manage procurement processes, including audit process compliance.Provide specialist advice to Procurement Manager, Coordinators and other staff related to process improvement opportunities.Develop, administer, and review procurement administrative processes, guidelines and templates to enhance and support the planning and delivery of the organisation's procurement activities.Ensure processes meet all legislative, policy and audit requirements.Identify and coordinate and/or deliver training and skills improvement.Manage user registration and access on Procurement systems.Coordinate skills improvement in the utilisation of Procurement systems.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualifications that includes either process analysis and improvement, or systems management or procurement process specific skills with some relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience.Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet specific objectives within set timelines and available resources.Demonstrated experience in process improvement, preferably in a procurement setting.It would be beneficial, but not necessary, to have experience administering an IT system or experience with TechOne or ReadyTech products.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means there's a place here for you too.
