Job Description
About the Role
As Practice Supervisor, you will work closely with practitioners, managers and executive leadership to strengthen capability, promote evidence-based practice and support high-quality service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing professional supervision, coaching and mentoring to staffSupporting practitioners in managing complex cases and riskDelivering training, workshops and professional development initiativesConducting practice reviews, audits and observationsSupporting ethical,



accountable and evidence-based practiceWorking collaboratively with managers to build workforce capabilityAssisting with performance development and improvement processesResearching and promoting contemporary therapeutic approaches and best practice frameworksContributing to organisational leadership, strategic planning and continuous improvement activities
As a member of the Management Team, you will have the opportunity to influence professional practice across the organisation and help shape the future direction of our services.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social WorkAt least five years' experience within the social or community services sectorSignificant experience supervising, mentoring or leading practitionersStrong understanding of therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practiceExperience supporting complex case management, risk assessment and professional decision-makingExceptional communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to challenge, support and develop practitioners in a constructive mannerStrong organisational and time management skills
Highly Regarded
General Registration as a Psychologist with supervision approval; orEligibility for, or membership of, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Experience developing and delivering professional development programsKnowledge of community services legislation and compliance requirements
Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:
Current Queensland Driver LicenceWorking with Children Blue CardNDIS Worker Screening ClearanceEligibility to work in Australia
