The Team

We are a 14-bed general medicine unit caring for people with all acute medical issues. We have a special interest in caring for renal patients and work closely with our renal unit colleagues to provide positive outcomes. We recognise the importance of a sustainable workforce and value our culture that supports nurses with varying experience.
The Role

The associate nurse manager (ANUM) role is responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership in a 14-bed general medical ward. This role requires high level communication skills within our multi-disciplinary team, intra hospital team and external providers. Working in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager, the ANUM ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred care while maintaining efficient unit operations and optimal patient flow.
You will need

Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of general medicine. An understanding of aged care resources.
Knowledge of patient flow principles, practices and resources.
The ability to support and educate your fellow colleagues in a team focussed environment.
Strong communication and organisational skills

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary

$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
