From mess halls to accommodation and recreation facilities, our teams keep Defence communities running smoothly every day.We're looking for an experienced Road Movements Officerto perform training and assessment on commercial and Defence specific vehiclesLocationRAAF Base WilliamtownRAAF Base RichmondThis role is located on base, and ADF veterans are encouraged to apply as this role has significant interface with RAAF personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth, compliant fleet operationsConduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and provide appropriate documentation.Oversee and manage permit applications and associated requirements.Lead and support drivers and command operational staffEnsure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR regulations and relevant state transport regulationsMonitor and schedule vehicle maintenance and safety requirementsProvide SME to resolve operational challenges promptly and effectivelyMaintain accurate records and operational reportingAbout YouBorn organiser with an eye for detail (you spot what others miss)Previous experience in transport supervision or similar roleExperience managing vehicle condition and utilisation to keep fleets running efficientlyA solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, and repair coordinationGreat communicator – you love talking to people and getting things doneCalm, cool, and collected – even when the pace picks upAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with transport management systems and Microsoft OfficeTeam player with a positive, proactive mindsetBe an Australian citizen and hold a current driver's licence.We are committed to providing a recruitment process that is fair, equitable and accessible for all.
