The Opportunity
Join CSL Behring at our Broadmeadows site and play a key role in supporting laboratory operations within Quality Control.
The role is responsible for the effective management of laboratory reagents, equipment, and associated laboratory functions, helping to maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
CSL Behring is undergoing extensive and positive change as we expand our capability and capacity.
In addition to contributing to Australia's export economy, CSL has invested in substantial new manufacturing facilities at Broadmeadows that will provide Australia with further high skills science and manufacturing employment opportunities and strengthen capabilities to develop and commercialise future recent medicines onshore in Australia.
The Role
Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with CSL's Code of Responsible Business Practice, Global Quality Policy, Site Quality Manual, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Manage laboratory inventory and housekeeping, including stock control, stocktakes, ordering reagents and materials, and monitoring the usage of standards and controls.
Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities and ensuring compliance with approved procedures.
Manage laboratory documentation and records, including accurate data entry into LIMS, record review, archiving, transcription checks, in line with GMP requirements.
Coordinate the receipt, distribution, and tracking of samples for internal and external testing to ensure testing requirements and timelines are met.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QC laboratory, while supporting Lean Six Sigma principles.
To be successful
Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, with experience working in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
Proven ability to follow laboratory procedures and utilise Windows-based software applications.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and ensure laboratory activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in completing laboratory activities, documentation, and data management.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience working in a Lean Laboratory environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
