About the Role
Reporting within the Asset Integrity team, the Asset Integrity Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering the Asset Integrity remediation program across the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) at Peak Downs Mine.
Working closely with Governance & Technical Services (G&TS;), Maintenance, Production, Scheduling and site contractors, you will translate Asset Integrity remediation requirements into executable work packages while ensuring activities are safely delivered in accordance with BHP standards, approved scopes and project schedules.
This is a client-side project delivery role requiring strong planning capability, contractor management experience and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders within a live operating environment.
The successful candidate will drive remediation activities from annual planning and work pack development through execution, completion and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of the CHPP Asset Integrity remediation program, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with BHP project governance.
Collaborate with Governance & Technical Services (G&TS;) to develop, maintain and optimise the annual Asset Integrity remediation plan.
Develop detailed remediation work packs, execution methodologies, resource plans and construction schedules that support safe and efficient delivery.
Coordinate remediation activities with Maintenance, Production, Scheduling and Operations to minimise operational disruption and maximise execution efficiency.
Manage Asset Integrity contractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contractor performance aligns with BHP safety, quality and productivity expectations.
Monitor execution progress, providing regular schedule updates and supporting schedule lock-in activities.




Coordinate work area handovers, commissioning activities and return-to-service requirements.
Identify scope deviations, execution risks and emerging issues while implementing timely corrective actions.
Ensure all Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), quality and compliance requirements are maintained throughout project execution.
Track remediation work pack progress, project performance and key delivery metrics, providing regular reports to project stakeholders.
Maintain project documentation, engineering records and close-out documentation to support governance and asset management requirements.
Foster strong working relationships with Engineering, G&TS;, Maintenance, Production and contractor teams to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
You are a delivery-focused Project Manager who enjoys coordinating complex maintenance and remediation programs within operational industrial environments.
You are highly organised, proactive and capable of balancing multiple workstreams while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement, contractor performance and project governance.
You thrive in team-oriented environments where planning, communication and execution discipline are critical to delivering safe and successful project outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience managing Asset Integrity, maintenance, remediation or brownfield capital projects within mining,



heavy industry or asset-intensive environments.
Proven experience delivering projects through planning, scheduling, execution and close-out.
Strong contractor management experience with the ability to monitor performance against safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
Experience developing work packs, execution methodologies and project schedules.
Strong understanding of maintenance planning, shutdown coordination and execution management.
Experience working within live operational processing or fixed plant environments.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving capability.
Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, scope changes and competing priorities.
Coal Handling and Preparation Plants (CHPP).
Asset Integrity programs.
Structural remediation and protective coatings.
Mechanical maintenance and reliability projects.
Shutdown planning and execution.
BHP project delivery frameworks.
SAP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar project controls systems.
Queensland coal mining operations.
