The tasks required to complete are listed below:Examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out workPreparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfacesSpreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in positionUsing tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipesEnsuring tiles are correctly aligned and spacedGrouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess groutApplying waterproofing systemsMay lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar compositionMay lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaicsThe salary for the position is $80,000–$85,000.
