Location: Port Hedland, WA, AU, ****Reporting into the Branch Manager – Port Hedland, the Workshop Supervisor is responsible for leading their department by providing guidance to their team members to ensure safety, quality and efficiency are of the highest standard resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction.
The role is accountable for ensuring effective work order management and department performance to achieve WesTrac's targets of productivity and compliance to Caterpillar, customer and WesTrac requirements.Roster: 9 days on 5 days off 12 hours per day (excluding unpaid meal break)Location: Port Hedland Branch – FIFO or residential optionsWhat you'll do:Supervise a team of 29 Personnel including apprentices, ensuring a high-quality of workmanship is completed to support for a wide range of CAT engines.Manage work order scheduling, execution, and compliance with WesTrac and Caterpillar standardsConduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback, and implementing necessary interventions for improvementUphold adherence to company protocols, standards, and safety protocolsOversee day-to-day activities, inventory oversight, and maintaining superior customer service standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processesCultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes collaboration and personal growthSkills and Experience:Qualified mechanical trade backgroundProven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within a heavy industrial or maintenance environmentCaterpillar Systems, Parts and Product knowledgeExperience managing work orders, job scheduling,
