This is a unique opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners advising and representing Commonwealth Government clients on complex and high-profile administrative law, litigation and regulatory matters.
Our national government practice has long-standing relationships with Commonwealth, State and Territory agencies and is recognised as a trusted adviser to government on legal and regulatory issues.Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you will advise and represent Commonwealth agencies, statutory office holders and government entities across a broad range of matters, including:assisting with the litigated matters in the State, Territory and Federal Courts and Tribunals (merits, judicial review and common law claims)advising clients with respect to all aspects of legislation, including statutory interpretation, administrative law advice and decision-makingdrafting high-quality legal advice, submissions and Court and Tribunal documentsassisting clients to respond to inquiries, such as Royal Commissions and investigationsadvising on privacy, FOI and regulatory mattersparticipating in secondment opportunities with the firm's key clientsRequirementsUp to 2 years' post-admission experience (government or private practice experience advantageous)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsA genuine interest in public law,
