Solicitor / Family Law / Child Protection

We are seeking an experienced Family Law solicitor for a Toowoomba-based role, working with a fantastic organisation specialising in Child protection and advocating for children's rights, among other areas of Family Law. Join a supportive team led by an inspiring leader.

/n

This role offers a good work-life balance, with occasional travel to communities in Cherbourg, Gympie, Kingaroy, or Murgen on an ad-hoc basis.

/n

You will manage around 40 matters at a time, including child protection cases advocating for First Nations children and families, focusing on reunification. You may also handle divorce and family settlements.

/n

We are ideally seeking a First Nations solicitor or a practitioner with empathy, cultural understanding, and a passion for advocating for First Nations families. This is of utmost importance.

/n

The salary is negotiable and includes a laptop, phone, and use of a company car for travel.



Benefits include 4 weeks of annual leave, 2 weeks of extra leave over Christmas and Current Year, salary packaging options increasing take-home pay by $15,500, early finish at 1 pm every second Friday, and strong investment in professional development.

An annual secondment to a private Brisbane firm is also available.
