About the Role

/n

Location: City of Melville Operations Centre, Murdoch

/n

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

/n

In this key role, you will provide leadership to ensure effective management and continuous improvement of the City's fleet and plant operations. Working across a diverse asset portfolio, you will help drive efficient, sustainable, and well-planned fleet outcomes that support essential community services.

/n

You will work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers to provide specialist advice, support strategic planning, and contribute to informed operational decision-making.

/n

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

/n

/n

- Relevant tertiary qualification, Fleet Management Certificate, or extensive demonstrated experience in supply chain management, transport or logistics.

/n

- Experience in workshop, fleet, and plant management.

/n

- Strong knowledge of sustainable fleet management practices and demonstrated experience in asset management principles and practices.

/n

- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial control, and reporting.

/n

- Proven experience in tender preparation, contract management, and procurement processes.

/n

- Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams, including performance development and operational coordination.

/n

- Experience in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).

/n

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.





/n

- Sound understanding of Occupational Safety and Health principles and practice.

/n

- Demonstrates effective communication, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills.

/n/n
