ABOUT THE ROLE

/n

Norton Gold Fields is seeking a Fuel Farm & Compliance Coordinator to oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of fuel farm facilities across multiple mining sites. Reporting to the Warehouse Superintendent, this role is responsible for fuel inventory management, Smartfill system administration, Dangerous Goods compliance, maintenance coordination, environmental management, contractor oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a diverse role that combines operational coordination, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and stakeholder management to ensure fuel infrastructure supports safe and uninterrupted mining operations.

DUTIES

/n

Fuel Farm Operations

/n

/n

- Manage fuel farm facilities across multiple NGF operations and satellite sites.

/n

- Investigate fuel discrepancies and maintain accurate fuel asset registers.

/n

- Coordinate fuel transfers between sites to meet operational requirements.

/n/n

Compliance & Safety

/n

/n

- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Dangerous Goods regulations, AS1940 and relevant Australian Standards.

/n

- Maintain Dangerous Goods licences, approvals, statutory documentation and reporting.

/n

- Develop and maintain fuel farm procedures, inspections and safe work instructions.

/n

- Coordinate compliance audits, inspections and corrective actions.

/n

- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.

/n/n

Smartfill & Systems Administration

/n

/n

- Administer the Smartfill fuel management system, including user access, fuel tags and equipment allocations.

/n

- Monitor transaction accuracy and investigate anomalies.

/n

- Produce fuel usage reports and support users with system issues.

/n

- Coordinate software upgrades and maintain odometer and hour-meter compliance.

/n/n

Maintenance & Asset Management

/n

/n





- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities for fuel infrastructure.

/n

- Raise work requests and liaise with contractors and maintenance teams.

/n

- Monitor equipment reliability, maintain maintenance records and support capital improvement projects.

/n

- Manage hydrocarbon waste, oily water disposal, contaminated materials and spill response resources.

/n

- Coordinate environmental contractors and support environmental reporting and investigations.

/n/n

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

/n

/n

- Coordinate fuel suppliers and service contractors.

/n

- Verify contractor compliance, licences and site access requirements.

/n

- Monitor supplier performance and participate in contract reviews.

/n

- Build strong working relationships across Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Supply and Finance teams.

/n

- Prepare reports covering fuel usage, inventory, compliance, maintenance, environmental performance and costs.

/n

- Develop dashboards and KPI reporting.

/n

- Identify opportunities to improve fuel efficiency, compliance, asset reliability and operational performance.

/n

- Support future fuel farm upgrades and technology improvements.

/n/n

ABOUT YOU

/n

You are an organised and proactive professional with experience managing fuel facilities, compliance programs or operational assets within mining, heavy industry or logistics. You have strong attention to detail, enjoy working across multiple stakeholders and are passionate about safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

/n

QUALIFICATIONS

/n

/n

- Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.

/n





- Certificate IV in WHS, Logistics, Warehousing, Operations or similar.

/n

- Relevant tertiary or TAFE qualification.

/n/n

DESIRABLE

/n

/n

- Dangerous Goods Storage & Handling qualification.

/n

- Diploma in WHS.

/n

- SAP and Smartfill experience.

/n

- ICAM investigation training.

/n/n

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

/n

/n

- Minimum 3 years' experience in fuel farm operations, Dangerous Goods compliance, maintenance coordination or similar.

/n

- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and Dangerous Goods requirements.

/n

- Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance activities.

/n

- Strong reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

/n

- Experience with Smartfill, SAP or similar management systems is highly regarded.

/n

- Mining or multi-site operational experience is desirable.

/n/n
