Job Description

This modern, purpose-built paediatric clinic around the Kinross area is growing and now looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist with 1+ years of experience to join their friendly team.

About the clinic
/n
/n
- Paediatric-only service: 18 months – 18 years
/n
- Clients come via word of mouth, GP referrals and walk-ins from nearby clinics
/n
- Director is an experienced Speech Pathologist (19+ years) in disability, with experience in Dubai and New Zealand
/n
- Small, multidisciplinary-minded team: Speech Pathologist, Allied Health Assistant, Paediatric Social Worker (trauma-informed) and Occupational Therapist
/n
- No hierarchy, open-door culture – learn together and support each other to support clients

The role
/n
You'll provide evidence-based, family-centred OT to children and young people with a range of presentations, including:
/n
/n
- Autism and other developmental disabilities
/n
- Sensory processing and emotional regulation challenges
/n
- Fine and gross motor delays
/n
- Functional difficulties in self-care, play and school participation
/n
- Feeding and mealtime difficulties in collaboration with the wider team
/n/n
Working environment
/n
/n
- Hybrid model – clinic, limited community (up to ~20km from base) and telehealth
/n
- Travel reimbursed
/n
- Option to run telehealth sessions from home
/n
- Flexible start/finish times – including the ability to work around school hours if you have children
/n/n
Day-to-day
/n
/n
- Manage a paediatric OT caseload tailored to your interests and strengths
/n
- Deliver 1:1 and group interventions in the clinic, community or via telehealth
/n
- Work closely with families, schools and other stakeholders to support functional outcomes
/n
- Use modern resources – laptops, sensory equipment, gross motor space and a fully equipped sensory/group room
/n
- Enjoy full admin support – clinic software and diaries managed with your input, tailored around how you like to work
/n/n
Billables & KPIs
/n
/n
- 4–5 billable hours per day worked, depending on experience and caseload complexity
/n
- No aggressive KPI bonus scheme – the focus is on quality of care and clinician wellbeing
/n/n
Support, supervision & development
/n
/n
- 2-week structured induction with shadowing
/n
- Gradual caseload build over 3 months, at your pace
/n
- Weekly supervision with the Director, plus access to external supervision if desired
/n
- New grads receive a 12-month preceptorship program
/n
- $1,500 annual PD allowance for external courses
/n
- Internal training tailored to what you want to learn and the skills you want to develop
/n

What we're looking for
/n
/n
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
/n
- 1+ year experience in paediatrics is ideal
/n
- Interest in working with children and young people with autism, disability and complex needs
/n
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and genuine passion for learning
/n
- Strong communication skills and a family-centred approach
/n
