Stage 6 Chemistry Teacher + Curriculum Leadership Opportunity – Christian Education
/n Full Time | Charlton Christian College – Fassifern, NSW
/n Charlton Christian College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join our Senior School teaching team. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching Stage 6 Chemistry and Christian education and have ability to teach other Science subjects across Years 7-12.
/n Charlton is an independent K–12 co-educational Christian school situated on 12 hectares of bushland on the western side of Lake Macquarie. About the Role
/n
/n
- Full-time permanent position
/n
- Commencement: Term 1, 2026 or by negotiation
/n
- Teaching Stage 6 Chemistry and Science across Stages 4–6
/n/n
The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
/n
/n
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regular attendance in a local Christian church, and willingness to uphold and support the College's Statement of Faith in all aspects of the role
/n
- Knowledge of, and solid commitment to, child safety in an educational setting, including awareness of mandatory reporting obligations and safe practices when working with children and families
/n
- A current Working with Children Check (NSW)
/n
- NESA-recognised teaching qualifications and accreditation (or provisional registration)
/n
- Proven ability to align professional practice with the AITSL Teacher Standards
/n
- Capacity to integrate a Christian perspective into curriculum and classroom practice
/n
- Evidence of the following behavioural competencies:

- Working with People – Builds positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues; shows empathy and contributes to a supportive team environment
/n
- Adhering to Principles and Values – Demonstrates integrity and upholds the Christian ethos of the College

Commencement
/n
The role will commence on 20 January 2026.
/n
Salary & Conditions
/n
The salary range for this role is approximately $90,000 to $131,000, depending on training and experience.
/n
A Position of Responsibility Allowance of $21,778pa will be applied if the role includes a curriculum leadership component. The role is remunerated under the Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement.
